What is DBT?Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a treatment approach developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan that focuses on teaching individuals skills to lead a more meaningful life. DBT was the first effective treatment for adults with significant difficulty regulating their emotions, and recent research has shown that it helps adolescents struggling with depression, suicidal behavior, and personality disorder features. The next DBT skills class will take place when the school year lets out. The class will meet twice per week for two hours on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (1-3pm). Program dates: June 27, 29 July 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 August 1.
The summer program cost is $1600 and can be paid over time if you sign up early! The cost includes 10 group sessions as well as two parent seminars. All materials will be provided to those who enroll in the class so that skills can be practiced and shared with other family members. Although payment is due prior to the first class, arrangements to pay over the course of the 10 weeks can be made for an added fee.
